Who We Are
Hello! My name is Hailey Newbury-Westhoff, and I am excited to welcome you to my in-home daycare, Cubs n' Chaos. The name is a play on my mother's daycare, Mama Bear's Daycare, which I have assisted her with for the past 8 years. I have also obtained both a Registered Behavior Technician certification and substitute certification of license to teach, which I have used to gain experience at an autism clinic and for the last 3 years I have worked in elementary schools as a paraprofessional.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Cameron Steinbruegge, since 2022. He is also certified and has worked along side me at both the autism clinic and in elementary schools. While I will be the lead caregiver, Cameron will assist occasionally and cover for me if I am sick. This ensures that Cubs Nā Chaos can provide consistent care with as few disruptions as possible.
Opening our home as a daycare is my dream, and helping kids grow and learn is my passion.

Meet the Household
Paws on site! We are a pet-friendly daycare, so children will come into contact with both our dog and cats under strict supervision. We believe that learning how to interact with and treat animals is an important skill that every child needs for the real world. While the pets mostly stay in designated areas, they also love to come out and greet guests.
For health and safety reasons, we apologize that we cannot provide care for your child if you or your child has pet allergies.

Our View on Technology
At Cubs nā Chaos Daycare, we believe technology can be a wonderful tool for supporting childrenās learning and development when used thoughtfully and in moderation. However, we also believe it is important to be mindful of the content children are exposed to and the amount of screen time they receive.
We do not allow overstimulating content or ābrain rotā videos, as we prioritize meaningful learning experiences, imaginative play, creativity, and real-world social interactions. To help maintain a consistent and engaging environment, outside toys and personal electronic devices, including tablets, are not permitted at daycare.
Our goal is to create a balanced environment where technology, when used, serves a purpose while hands-on exploration, active play, and meaningful connections remain at the heart of each childās day.
